45th Annual King Coal Festival planning is underway

WILLIAMSON, W.Va. -- The Action in Mingo group will be meeting at 6:30 Thursday, June 22, 2017 at The Williamson Fire Station to continue planning for the 45th Annual King Coal Festival. 

Vendor registrations are now open, and applications may be acquired from the King Coal Festival Facebook page, or picked up at Hurley's Drug Store, the Williamson Public Library, the Coal House, and Shae's Boutique at the Southside Mall. The beauty pageant will be held on Satuday, September 9th at the mall,

All other events will begin the next week with the pet show on Thursday, September 14, the block party on Friday, September 15, and end with the gospel sing on Sunday, September 17. The all day outdoor market, music, vendors and parade will take place on Saturday, September 16th. The Swinging Sensations, air boat rides, and horse and carriage rides will be back again this year. Sign ups will be at the information booth.
