Heavy Rain Threat Prompts Flash Flood Watch

A Flash Flood Watch is in effect for all of eastern Kentucky and western West Virginia through early Friday (7/29) morning.

Repeated rounds of thunderstorms are expected in a very moist atmosphere. This will bring a threat for heavy rainfall, which could result in flash flooding along creeks and small streams, or in poor drainage areas.

Precautionary/preparedness actions.. A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
